The Gwaram Old Boys Association (GOSA) Class 84 has re-elected Alhaji Sabo Abdullahi Guri as its Chairman.

The Association also endorsed Dr. Mahmud Gambo as Vice Chairman and Muhammed Yakubu Yar’gaba as Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Sabo expressed gratitude to the members for granting him another opportunity to serve the association. He emphasized GOSA’s commitment to uniting its members, the families of deceased members, and former schoolmates.

Guri, a veteran journalist with over 36 years of experience, previously served as the Managing Director of Jigawa Radio Corporation and was once the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Jigawa State Council.

The special guest of honor, former Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, expressed delight at the reunion and noted that organizing such events annually would strengthen bonds among members who haven’t seen each other in years. He emphasized that these meetings should be an ongoing process.

Alhaji Shehu Muhammed Sanusi, the Dan’iyan Dutse and a prominent alumnus, praised Dr. Nasir Gawuna for his continuous support of the association.

The meeting took place at the N.U.J. Secretariat in Dutse and was attended by members from Kano and Jigawa States.
