Jigawa Inaugurates Steering Committee for Implementation of Polling Units Development Funds

In a significant step towards grassroots development, the Jigawa State Government hasย  inaugurated the State Steering Committee for the implementation of the Polling Units Development Funds Law today.

Inaugurating, the Committee, the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State Malam Bala Ibrahim congratulated the committee members on their appointments, emphasizing the confidence placed in them by Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi. He highlighted that the newly enacted law aims to bridge the gap between government policies and the immediate needs of citizens, particularly at the grassroots level.

He explained that the committee is responsible for providing guidance, coordination, monitoring, and oversight to ensure the successful implementation of the development funds program across the state.

Malam Ibrahim urged members of the Committee to execute their responsibilities with dedication, fairness, and transparency while promoting community participation in all activities.

Responding on behalf of the committee, Honourable Ibrahim Garba Hannun-Giwa, the Chairman, expressed gratitude to Governor Namadi for the opportunity to serve and assured their commitment to fulfilling their roles in accordance with the law.
