Jigawa Police Command Arrests Suspects, Recovers Over 4,600 Illegal Drugs

The Jigawa State Police Command has intensified its efforts against drug dealers and other criminal elements, demonstrating a strong commitment to eradicating illicit drugs and related crimes.
According to a press statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Shiisu Lawan Adam,  said a series of coordinated, intelligence-led raids across various Local Government Areas led to the arrest of 20-year-old Mutari Shu’aibu from Dutse, along with several other suspects in Guri, Gumel, Sara, Shuwarin, Sundimina, Kazaure, M/Madori, Ringim, B/Kudu, and K/Hausa towns.
During these operations, authorities seized 4,658 wraps of various illicit drugs, believed to be hard substances intended for distribution within the community. These items have been documented as evidence.
Following thorough investigations, all suspects have been arraigned in court.
The Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad commended the officers for their professionalism and diligence, reiterating the Command’s resolve to combat drug trafficking, abuse, and other criminal activities that threaten public safety and the future of the youth in the state.
The Jigawa State Police Command encourages the public to continue providing timely and credible information on criminal activities and assures citizens of its commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and drug-free society.
