The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda Alumni Association has called on members to actively participate in institutional development and uphold the integrity of the Association.

This was contained in a communique jointly signed by the National President of the Association, Abdulrazak Bello Kaura, and the National Secretary, Rimamyang Amos Ibang.

The meeting, which was held at the Ahmadu Ansa Multipurpose Hall, focused on significant developments concerning both the Association and the Polytechnic.

The communique announced the formal adoption of the Association’s Constitution and established a four-year tenure for elected executives. The statement said, the current National Executive Committee will complete its remaining two-year term.

In a noteworthy decision, the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Obalola Ebenezer Olufemi, was suspended for one year due to misconduct, with Dr. Oluchukwu Abba appointed as Acting National Publicity Secretary during this period.

The AGM also approved the formation of a new Board of Trustees to enhance governance and sustainability and set the annual membership dues at ₦2,500. Members were encouraged to seek additional revenue sources to promote financial transparency.

The Association highlighted several achievements, including the construction of vital facilities and support for student welfare initiatives, notably securing solar-powered boreholes from alumnus Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu.

The AGM concluded with a strong call for members to actively engage in institutional development and uphold the integrity of the Association.
