A prominent oil marketer and real estate businessman from Kano, Alhaji Abdullahi Ahmad, widely known as Audu Manager, has passed away at the age of 68.
According to DAILY NIGERIAN, his son, Surajo Audu Manager, confirmed the news, stating that his father died in the early hours of Wednesday at the Saudi German Hospital in Cairo, Egypt, following a prolonged illness.
Arrangements are being made to return his remains to Kano for burial on Friday. The funeral prayer will take place at Jami’ur Rahma Juma’at Mosque after the Friday congregational prayer. In case of any delays in the arrival of the body, the burial will occur after the Asr prayer.
Audu Manager was a notable figure in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector, owning a network of filling stations across the country. He also had significant investments in real estate, farming, and other businesses. He is survived by his wives, children, and numerous relatives.
