Birniwa LGC Organizes Four-Day Capacity Building Workshop for B-Teach Staff

The Birniwa Local Government Council has organised a four-day capacity building workshop for 204 B-Teach staff members.

In a statement signed by the Information officer of the Local Government Council, Muhammad Umar Hadejia, said the initiative is  aimed to enhance educational development and promote job creation among youth, aligning with the twelve-point agenda of Jigawa State Governor, His Excellency Umar Namadi.

Declaring the training open, the Executive Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB, Professor Haruna Musa, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative. He described it as a significant commitment by the local government to grassroots education development.

Professor Musa praised the engagement of qualified teachers holding Degrees and NCE certificates as B-Teach staff. He urged them to seize the opportunity to learn modern teaching methods and apply these effectively in their classrooms. He also commended the Birniwa Local Government Chairman for the ongoing rehabilitation of nine classrooms at the Special Primary School, Birniwa, recognizing it as a valuable contribution to the state’s educational development efforts. He called on School-Based Management Committees (SBMCs) to support the success of educational programs.

On his part, the Chairman of the Council Hon. Shehu Baba Birniwa, encouraged B-Teach staff to be fair, just, and dedicated in their duties, ensuring the program’s objectives are met.

He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to educational development and assured that outstanding B-Teach staff would be recommended for permanent appointments once the state government begins confirming J-Teach staff, as a form of encouragement.
