The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the renovation of Jigawa Hotels Limited, a state-owned three-star hotel.
This decision was part of the resolutions from the Council’s recent meeting and was announced to newsmen in Dutse by the Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Sagir Musa Ahmed.
Honourable Sagir disclosed that the Executive Council has awarded contracts worth ₦1,221,532,047.81 for the general renovation of Jigawa Hotels Limited.
He stated that the renovation aims to comprehensively upgrade the hotel’s facilities, enhancing service delivery and guest comfort. The project is designed to reposition Jigawa Hotels as a preferred destination for both local and international visitors.
In addition to improving the hotel’s standards, the initiative is expected to boost tourism activities, generate increased internally generated revenue, and create employment opportunities.
The Jigawa State Government emphasizes its commitment to strategic investments that promote economic diversification and foster private sector confidence, positioning the state as a viable destination for tourism, conferences, and business engagements.
