GARKI LGC INITIATES DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS TO BOOST COMMUNITY WELFARE

The Garki Local Government Council in Jigawa State has launched several developmental projects aimed at enhancing the welfare and living standards of its residents.
In a statement signed by the Council’s Information Officer, Suleman Daidu Babura, the Chairman of the Local Government Council, Honourable Adamu Hudu Kore, provided details of these initiatives, emphasizing the council’s commitment to improving community well-being.
Among the notable projects are the installation of solar street lights in three towns—Kanya Mai Kaho, Zaidawa, and Lautai. These installations are intended to enhance security and beautify the local environment.
Honourable Kore also announced the establishment of 15 solar-powered water points across various towns and villages to ensure access to safe drinking water. Additionally, six hand-pump boreholes have been constructed in different villages to further address water needs.
The Honourable Chairman reaffirmed the council’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for all residents through these initiatives.
