Jigawa Partners with Public Complaints Commission to Promote Social Justice

The Jigawa State Government is to collaborate with the Federal Public Complaints Commission to advance social justice initiatives.

According to a Press Statement issued by Ismai’la Ibrahim Dutse, Public Relations Officer, office of the Jigawa State Head of the Civil Service said the the HOS, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri,ย  disclosed this, while receiving, Commissioner Public Commission Honourable Barde Usman, who paid a courtesy visit in his office.

Alhaji Dagaceri emphasized that the Jigawa State Government and the Commission are united in their efforts to address the infringement of citizens’ rights. He assured the Commission of full support and cooperation to achieve their shared objectives.

Earlier, Honourable Barde Usman highlighted that the Public Complaints Commission functions as an independent ombudsman tasked with investigating administrative injustices, abuse of power, and maladministration by government agencies and private companies, adding that the Commission aims to provide free and accessible redress for citizens.

He further outlined key mandates of the Commission, which include reviewing unfair administrative actions, mediating disputes, and promoting transparency and accountability in public service. The Commissioner solicited the Head of Serviceโ€™s support and cooperation to fulfill these goals effectively.
