In a significant political shift, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has announced his resignation from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), effective immediately. Kwankwaso, who served as the party’s National Leader and was its Presidential Candidate in the 2023 General Elections, expressed his gratitude for the opportunities he had within the party.
In a statement he personally signed, Kwankwaso cited the need for strategic realignment in Nigeria’s political landscape as a key factor in his decision. He emphasized the importance of identifying with a political platform that offers a better chance to drive effective change for the nation.
Kwankwaso extended his appreciation to the National Chairman, Ajuji Ahmed, and the entire National Working Committee for their support during his tenure. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Board of Trustees, National Executive Committee, and all party members, including those from the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
He concluded with a commitment to continue collaborating with party members to foster a prosperous future for Nigeria.
