The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested ten suspects in various locations across the state as part of their efforts to enhance public safety.
In a statement issued by the Command Spokesperson, Shi’isu Lawan Adam reported the apprehension of Haruna Sale and Usman Damina Baushe from Birnin Kudu, suspected of involvement in a foreign currency scandal, with exhibits recovered.
Additionally, Usaini Abdullahi was arrested for armed robbery after he and his accomplices injured victims in Kurusko village, Malam Madori local government area.
Ibrahim Muhd and Ayuba Idiris, from Makara Huta quarters in Hadejia local government, were apprehended for vandalizing an electric transformer at Mai Rakumi Village, Malam Madori.
Furthermore, Abdullahi Muhd Bulama, Yusuf Ahmed, and Mamman Manu Garwa were arrested for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and culpable homicide after attacking and robbing Yusuf Usman and Liman Muhd. While Liman was treated and discharged from the hospital, Yusuf was pronounced dead.
Operatives from Kaugama, Gumel, Sara, and Hadejia Divisions also conducted raids, leading to the arrest of Murtala Bature of Kaugama town and Musa Yakubu of Guri Area. Authorities recovered various exhibits, including a locally made rifle with cartridges, cannabis, Exol tablets, Tramadol capsules, Diazepam tablets, and cash.
The Command remains committed to combating criminal activities and maintaining law and order, urging the public to provide timely information on criminal activities through official channels.
