The Jigawa State Government has distributed laptop computers to 29 law graduates for the 2024/2025 academic session, who are set to be called to the Bar.
Presenting the Computers to the beneficiaries, Executive Secretary, Jigawa State Scholarship Board, Malam Saidu Magaji, stated that the gesture reflects the administration’s commitment to supporting Jigawa indigenes in their educational pursuits.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, Ministry for Higher Education, Science and Technology Wasilu Umar Ringim, said the state government has spent ₦14,030,200.00 for the procurement of the laptops. Additionally, ₦14,388,669.00 was disbursed to cover registration fees and bursary allowances for the 29 law students for the upcoming academic session.
The beneficiaries are graduates from various universities across Nigeria. Malam Saidu Magaji commended the Commissioner for Higher Education, Science and Technology, Professor Isa Yusuf Chamo, for his dedication to ensuring that Jigawa students benefit from government educational initiatives.
He urged the recipients to utilize the laptops judiciously and assured them of ongoing support from the administration to enhance the academic careers of Jigawa State students.
