The Grassroots Mobilizer for Better Nigeria Initiative (GMBNI) has distributed essential aid to 100 Almajirai (Qur’anic students) at the Tsangar Mallam Lamiru in Gidan Tsika, Shuwarin, Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
This outreach program involved the distribution of new uniforms and nutritious food items, forming a key part of GMBNI’s nationwide initiative to support the well-being and dignity of students in Qur’anic and Tsangaya schools across Nigeria.
In her speech at the event, the Chairperson and founder of the organization, Ambassador (Dr.) Fatima Mohammed Goni, emphasized the initiative’s core objective. She stated that this gesture reflects their commitment to uplifting every aspect of the Tsangaya educational system and supporting the future of the children. They believe in holistic development by providing these basic necessities.
Represented by the Northwest Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Abbas Rufa’i Wangara, the Chairperson added that the aim is to enhance the learning conditions and welfare of these young students, enabling them to focus on their religious and moral education with dignity.
Beneficiaries and their teachers expressed profound gratitude for the intervention, which not only provides immediate relief but also reinforces the importance of integrating care and material support into traditional educational systems.
The GMBNI’s Tsangaya School Support Programme aims to bridge gaps by offering periodic interventions that address critical needs, thereby promoting better health, improved attendance, and a more conducive learning environment for Almajirai. This event in Jigawa State marks another step in the initiative’s goal to replicate such support in communities across all geopolitical zones of the country.
Ambassador (Dr.) Goni reiterated through her representative that GMBNI remains dedicated to fostering national development through targeted grassroots empowerment, educational support, and humanitarian services, calling on other well-meaning organizations and individuals to join in this noble cause.
GMBNI is a non-governmental, non-partisan organization founded by Ambassador (Dr.) Fatima Mohammed Goni. It is dedicated to catalyzing positive change and sustainable development from the grassroots level. Through its programs in education, health, economic empowerment, and social welfare, GMBNI strives to build a better, more equitable, and prosperous Nigeria.
